Below are definitions of terminologies used across our brand. These include phrases and words we use to describe our brand and products.

    • SKNYbottle

SKNY is short for skinny, that refers to the slim profile of our reusable bottle. We wanted our brand to be named after one of our core focuses - designing products that are portable.

                  • High-Grade Steel

SKNYbottles are made with high-grade stainless steel. Stainless steel has different grades. The two most common are 304 and 316 grades of stainless steel. The benefits of high-grade stainless steel is that it is a very corrision resistant material as well as being very durable.

                      • Mouth

This refers to the top part of SKNYbottle where there is an opening. This is where bottle contents such as liquids are accessed. The size of the mouth on a bottle is critical to how efficient liquid flows in and our of the bottle. We redesigned the mouth on SKNYbottle - completely changing its size through many tests, to ensure its comfortable to drink from and therefore optimises liquid flow.

                          • Laser-Engraving

This is the process that enables our logo and textual information at the bottle of SKNYbottle to be visible. It involves vaporising the top layer into fumes (the design wrapped around SKNYbottle), to showcase the layer below (stainless steel), and hence leaving a permanent mark.

                                • Eco-Friendly

Literally meaning 'earth-friendly,' being eco-friendly means being designed to have little or no damaging effect on the environment. It is the act of living with the intent on not creating harm to our environment as well as preventing as much harm to the environment through our interactions.
